Biography

Arzeen is an internationally renowned Bengali singer, songwriter, and lyricist whose work exists at the intersection of tradition and innovation. Rooted in the rich musical heritage of South Asia and flourishing within the experimental landscapes of the American independent music scene, Arzeen has cultivated a sound that is unmistakably his own, one that defies borders, languages, and genres.

Based in Los Angeles, Arzeen brings a global perspective to his music, drawing from a wide palette of influences ranging from Bengali folk and spiritual music to soul and electronica. His songs are marked by emotionally resonant lyricism, sonic richness, and an unwavering dedication to honesty and depth. Whether performing solo or with his genre-blurring band project Mystical Joyride, Arzeen commands the stage with an energy that is both magnetic and deeply introspective.

His work has earned him critical and popular acclaim across continents. In Bangladesh, he has been featured on major national television channels including Independent Television, Channel 24 Entertainment, SomoyTV, and Green TV Music, and profiled in leading publications such as Samakal News, one of the country’s most widely read newspapers. In the United States, his artistry has captured the attention of cultural commentators, culminating in features in the Los Angeles Times and airplay on national and international radio stations including KXLU 88.9 FM, BBC Asian Network, and Radio Venice.

Arzeen’s digital and social media presence further amplifies his cultural resonance. He has cultivated an engaged global audience, with over 160,000 followers on Facebook, 50,000 on TikTok, and 29,000 YouTube subscribers, amassing a total viewership of over 58 million across platforms. His breakout 2025 single “Kalakala” went viral, captivating listeners around the world and becoming an anthem of cross-cultural identity and artistic freedom.

In 2017, Arzeen was invited to perform as part of the Promise Zone Arts project, administered by the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, where his story is now featured on their official website. Following that, he was invited to present a special performance of Bengali songs at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. With Mystical Joyride, Arzeen has toured extensively across the United States, performing at some of the country’s most respected music festivals, including Lightning in a Bottle, Joshua Tree Music Festival, LA County Fair, Love Long Beach, Ciclavia, and SoulPlay Festival. Each performance is a carefully woven ritual of sound and spirit where groove, poetry, and vulnerability coexist in harmony.

Beyond the stage, Arzeen is committed to using music as a platform for social and cultural dialogue. His interdisciplinary collaborations span visual arts, dance, and community activism, often centering on themes of identity, migration, joy, and healing. In a world that often demands compartmentalization, Arzeen’s work stands as a reminder of the power of hybridity of being many things at once, unapologetically.

In every note he sings and every word he writes, Arzeen invites his audience into a world that is both intimate and expansive where ancient melodies meet modern truths, and where art becomes a vessel for connection across borders and generations.
